Mark has been cleaning and treating my roof and gutters for the last 5 years. His service includes a yearly re-check for minimal cost. Since then, I haven't seen a return of moss. He also checks roof condition and has the skills to make any repairs if needed. In addition, he removed a build-up of moss from my driveway, sidewalk, and a walkway in my side yard and over a year later the moss hasn't returned. Several neighbors were impressed and asked me for his contact information. Mark can be trusted to do excellent, professional, and honest work.

Our Story 35 Years of Roofs,
35 Years of Roofs,
done right
First Aid Roof Care started the way most good things do: with hard work and a willingness to climb. Our owner picked up his first roof cleaning job as a freshman at Portland State University, where he played football and wrestled. His college wrestling coach connected him with a summer position cleaning shake roofs, and that single job set the direction for everything that followed.
After college, he spent five years in the Los Angeles and Huntington Beach area, cleaning roofs and sharpening his skills in a market that demanded quality and consistency. He returned to Oregon in 1992 and launched First Aid Roof Care as a sole proprietor, building the business one roof at a time across the Willamette Valley.
More than 35 years later, we have cleaned, repaired, and treated over 15,000 roofs for homeowners across Marion, Polk, Linn, Benton, and Clackamas counties. That number is not a marketing figure. It represents 15,000 conversations with real homeowners in Salem, Albany, Aumsville, and the surrounding communities who trusted us with one of their biggest investments.
We offer roof cleaning, moss removal, moss treatment, soft wash roof care, roof repair, and full exterior cleaning services. We also provide yearly maintenance programs for homeowners who want to stay ahead of Oregon's wet seasons instead of reacting to damage after the fact. Consistent care is almost always less expensive than emergency repairs.
What separates us from larger crews and franchise operations is simple: you work directly with the owner on every job. There is no crew supervisor passing along instructions. The same person who built this business from a summer job in 1989 is the one showing up at your property, assessing your roof, and doing the work right.
We serve homeowners and property managers throughout Marion County, Polk County, Linn County, Benton County, and Clackamas County, including Salem, Albany, and Aumsville. If you are not sure whether we cover your area, give us a call and we will let you know quickly.

How We Work
What you can count on
Deep Field Experience
We have cleaned, treated, and repaired over 15,000 roofs across Oregon. That volume means we recognize problems fast and fix them correctly the first time.
Soft Wash Safety
We use low-pressure soft wash methods that remove moss and algae without cracking or lifting shingles. Your roof comes out clean, not damaged.
Yearly Maintenance Plans
We offer annual roof care programs so moss and debris do not build up between visits. Regular treatment extends roof life and keeps repair costs down.
Honest Assessments
We tell you what your roof actually needs, not what runs up the bill. If a cleaning will solve the problem, we say so.
Owner on Every Job
As a sole proprietor, the owner shows up to every job personally. You get the same experienced hands from start to finish, not a rotating crew.
Thorough Site Cleanup
We clear all moss, debris, and runoff from your property before we leave. You will not spend your afternoon cleaning up after us.
