Expert Roof Cleaning in Marion County, OR

Roof cleaning in Marion County is not optional maintenance. It is a direct response to the county's high humidity, heavy summer rainfall, and dense oak canopy coverage that keeps roof surfaces damp long after rain stops. Those dark streaks running down your shingles or tile are a living algae called Gloeocapsa magma. It feeds on roofing materials, traps moisture, and accelerates surface breakdown season after season. Left alone, moss and lichen follow, physically bonding to shingles and tile grout lines. At First Aid Roof Care, we use a low-pressure soft wash process. A cleaning solution is applied at low pressure, allowed to dwell, and then rinsed with fresh water. No high-pressure contact touches your shingle surface or tile. This protects granules, preserves tile integrity, and removes biological growth at the root rather than just the surface. Marion County homeowners with asphalt shingles, concrete tile, or metal roofs all benefit from routine cleaning. If you can see dark streaking from the street, the growth is already causing material damage. Call First Aid Roof Care to schedule your Marion County roof cleaning.

If you can see dark streaking or green patches from the street, the biological growth has been active long enough to cause material damage. Contact First Aid Roof Care for an assessment before the growth spreads further.

I've used this company and Mark Sanders for several years to clean my roof and protect it from moss and am always pleased with the job. But I also appreciate his knowledge and advice when it comes to the status of the roof, the gutters and vents. And he always cleans up. He's been in the business for a long time. Highly recommend.

I wish we had taken a before and after photo of our roof! Mark did an excellent job cleaning our roof; it looks like we replaced it instead of just cleaning it. They were timely, affordable, and conscientious in their work and cleanup. We will be using them for yearly maintenance going forward and we highly recommend them.

Mark and his team did a great job. Showed up on time, quoted a fair price, and the work was perfect. Will have them back annually.

Andrew Owen Google review · September 2025

Mark was responsive when I first called him for a quote. I appreciated that he came when he said he would for both the quote and the cleaning. The roof looks much better now. A few days afterward, the gutters were not draining properly even though they were draining while he was cleaning the roof. I called him, and he came out the next day. He got the gutters draining again in after a few minutes.
