Expert Cleaning Roof Repair in Marion County, OR

Marion County's wet winters, persistent cloud cover, and shaded tree canopy create near-constant conditions for moss, algae, and organic growth to take hold on residential roofs. When that growth goes unchecked, it traps moisture against the roof surface, lifts shingles, and accelerates wear that leads to leaks and costly structural damage. Cleaning roof repair from First Aid Roof Care addresses both problems together. We clean the roof surface to remove organic growth, then inspect and repair the damage that growth leaves behind. Cracked or displaced shingles, soft decking, and compromised flashing get fixed at the source, not patched over. Our owner started cleaning shake roofs as a college athlete at Portland State University, spent five years refining that work in Southern California, and returned to Oregon in 1992 to build this business one roof at a time. That hands-on background means we know what Oregon roofs face season after season. If your Marion County home shows visible moss, staining, or signs of water intrusion, call First Aid Roof Care to schedule a roof assessment.

Cleaning Roof Repair FAQ

Common questions about cleaning roof repair in Marion County, OR.

Not always, but cleaning often reveals damage that was hidden under moss or debris. A roof inspection during the cleaning process tells you exactly what needs attention in Marion County.

Yes, thick moss holds moisture against the roof surface and can cause shingles to lift, crack, and allow water into the decking below. Marion County's wet climate makes this a common problem on north-facing slopes and shaded roofs.

Visible moss, dark staining, curling shingles, or water spots on interior ceilings are signs your Salem roof needs professional attention. First Aid Roof Care assesses the roof surface and underlying condition to recommend the right scope of work.

Cleaning done correctly removes growth without forcing water under damaged shingles or stressing weak areas. First Aid Roof Care adjusts the cleaning approach based on what the roof surface shows before work begins.

Yes, First Aid Roof Care serves homeowners in Polk County, Linn County, Benton County, Clackamas County, Albany, Aumsville, and surrounding areas. Call to confirm service availability for your specific address.

Yes, shake roofs require a gentler cleaning approach to avoid breaking down the wood fiber, and repairs often involve replacing individual shakes that have split or gone soft. First Aid Roof Care's owner began his career cleaning shake roofs and brings that specific experience to every job in Marion County.

We battled moss on our roof for years until we gave Mark a call. His company did an excellent job at a reasonable price. We have them come back every year to treat it, for a fraction of the price the original cleaning costs. We. haven’t had a problem since we have gone with them. They remind us once a year, when it is time to have it done. We appreciate that because we would not remember. Mark is very personable and professional. We would highly recommend this company !

We have been so impressed with First Aid Roof Care! They came out and cleaned our roof after providing us with a very reasonable estimate. From start to finish, they were professional, reliable, and respectful of our property. They cleaned everything up when they were finished and even took the time to explain what they had seen and noticed while working on our roof. When we sold our house and purchased a new home, we knew exactly who we wanted to call—and had them come out to our new home as well. Once again, we were just as pleased with their work and service. Booking was easy, the owners were responsive, and they followed through exactly as promised with the scheduled day and time. It's refreshing to find a company that is dependable, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about doing a great job. We will absolutely be using First Aid Roof Care again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for roof care

I cannot recommend First Aid Roof Care enough! From start to finish, the entire experience was exceptional. Mark is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, honest, and genuinely takes pride in the work he does. It’s rare these days to find someone with this level of experience who still puts so much care into their customers and the quality of their work. Communication was fantastic, everything was explained clearly, and there was absolutely no pressure or trying to sell us something we didn’t need. You can tell immediately that Mark knows roofs inside and out and truly cares about helping people protect their homes rather than just making a sale. The quality of the work speaks for itself, and the attention to detail was impressive. Reliable, knowledgeable, fairly priced, and just genuinely great to work with. If you need roof cleaning, moss treatment, repairs, maintenance, or even just someone knowledgeable to take a look at your roof, call First Aid Roof Care. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. 10/10 experience and absolutely a company worth supporting!

Since I live in the country surrounded by trees, my house is prone to having moss. Mark has done moss treatment for me for 5 years now and the roof looks great. He also inspects the roof and has done some repairs for free with the moss treatment, and also cleans the gutters. Great service! I highly recommend him.

Mark does an exceptional job on my roof. I have never had a piece of moss on my roof since I stared using Mark several years ago.. My roof is spotless when work is completed and cleanup is the same.. Mark also checks for any issues which could be a problem and either repairs himself or recommends an alternative.. I cannot recommend First Aid Roof Care highly enough..
