Expert Preventive Maintenance in Marion County, OR

Preventive maintenance keeps your Marion County roof working before small problems turn into water damage inside your home. Marion County sits in the Willamette Valley, where long wet seasons, heavy shade from surrounding trees, and persistent moisture create ideal conditions for moss, algae, and debris buildup. Left alone, those issues lift shingles, trap water against the roof surface, and push damage into the decking below. Our preventive maintenance covers a roof inspection, debris and moss removal, gutter and valley clearing, and a check of flashings around vents and penetrations. We look for lifted shingles, cracked pipe boots, and any spot where water could work its way in. Catching a loose flashing or a blocked valley early costs far less than repairing rot in the decking. If you own a home in Salem, Albany, Aumsville, or anywhere across Polk, Linn, Benton, or Clackamas counties, routine maintenance is the most practical step you can take to protect your roof. Call First Aid Roof Care to schedule your visit.

Preventive Maintenance FAQ

Common questions about preventive maintenance in Marion County, OR.

A preventive maintenance visit covers a roof inspection, moss and debris removal, gutter and valley clearing, and a flashing check around vents and penetrations. We look for any spot where water could enter before it becomes a leak inside your home.

Marion County's long wet season and heavy moss pressure make regular maintenance a practical choice for most homeowners. Scheduling a visit before the rainy season starts helps keep debris and moss from building up through the wettest months.

Yes, visible moss is exactly the kind of early problem preventive maintenance is designed to address. Removing it before it lifts shingles or traps moisture against the decking keeps the damage from going deeper.

By the time a leak appears on your ceiling, damage to the decking or insulation has usually already started. Preventive maintenance in Salem and across Marion County catches the warning signs before water gets that far.

We battled moss on our roof for years until we gave Mark a call. His company did an excellent job at a reasonable price. We have them come back every year to treat it, for a fraction of the price the original cleaning costs. We. haven’t had a problem since we have gone with them. They remind us once a year, when it is time to have it done. We appreciate that because we would not remember. Mark is very personable and professional. We would highly recommend this company !

We have been so impressed with First Aid Roof Care! They came out and cleaned our roof after providing us with a very reasonable estimate. From start to finish, they were professional, reliable, and respectful of our property. They cleaned everything up when they were finished and even took the time to explain what they had seen and noticed while working on our roof. When we sold our house and purchased a new home, we knew exactly who we wanted to call—and had them come out to our new home as well. Once again, we were just as pleased with their work and service. Booking was easy, the owners were responsive, and they followed through exactly as promised with the scheduled day and time. It's refreshing to find a company that is dependable, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about doing a great job. We will absolutely be using First Aid Roof Care again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for roof care

I cannot recommend First Aid Roof Care enough! From start to finish, the entire experience was exceptional. Mark is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, honest, and genuinely takes pride in the work he does. It’s rare these days to find someone with this level of experience who still puts so much care into their customers and the quality of their work. Communication was fantastic, everything was explained clearly, and there was absolutely no pressure or trying to sell us something we didn’t need. You can tell immediately that Mark knows roofs inside and out and truly cares about helping people protect their homes rather than just making a sale. The quality of the work speaks for itself, and the attention to detail was impressive. Reliable, knowledgeable, fairly priced, and just genuinely great to work with. If you need roof cleaning, moss treatment, repairs, maintenance, or even just someone knowledgeable to take a look at your roof, call First Aid Roof Care. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. 10/10 experience and absolutely a company worth supporting!

Since I live in the country surrounded by trees, my house is prone to having moss. Mark has done moss treatment for me for 5 years now and the roof looks great. He also inspects the roof and has done some repairs for free with the moss treatment, and also cleans the gutters. Great service! I highly recommend him.

Mark does an exceptional job on my roof. I have never had a piece of moss on my roof since I stared using Mark several years ago.. My roof is spotless when work is completed and cleanup is the same.. Mark also checks for any issues which could be a problem and either repairs himself or recommends an alternative.. I cannot recommend First Aid Roof Care highly enough..
